1st IESE-LUISS Conference on Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship

1)      SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: The Conference is about how organizations cope with reaching different goals at the same time, it is about social enterprises in all forms, their organization, performance, survival, impact, revenue and business model. We welcome research that looks at social enterprises from a wide range of perspectives, unveiling the organizational, strategic and accountability challenges faced by businesses that aim to combine social/environmental impact and financial performance. Papers and working papers studying hybrid organizations, social enterprises and social entrepreneurial initiatives from both theoretical and empirical perspectives are therefore fully in line with the conference aim. If you deal with such topics, don’t miss to submit!

2)      JOURNAL OF BUSINESS ETHICS: the conference will showcase a JBE thematic symposium. During the conference we will develop a debate and define better the focus of the content of the symposium, and it will be an occasion to get a closer look to some of the possible contributions to the issue and to get to talk directly to the guest editors, who are organizers/speakers of the conference.

3)      NOW FEE IS 390: Extra funds allowed us to decrease the Standard fee, now euros 390.

Please consider to submit your work on Social Enterprises to the

1st IESE-LUISS Conference on Responsibility, Sustainability and Social Entrepreneurship.

The conference invites work on the way social enterprises design, manage, and survive the strains of their multifaceted nature, and wants to become a discussion arena for ideas to be captured in the Thematic Symposium of JBE on a similar theme (see below).

JBE SPECIAL ISSUE: the conference will showcase a Thematic Symposium of the Journal of Business Ethics with the title “Social Enterprises: walking ethically on the edge between economic performance and social and environmental impact”. Submission to the Journal is due by June 15th, 2017.

EXTENSIVE DISCUSSION OF YOUR WORK: Each paper will be allocated a large slot for presentation and Q&A. In each parallel session a discussant -asked to read the papers in advance- will give feedback.
